Aaron started rowing in his freshman year of high school for Simsbury Crew. He rowed in the 2V8+ for his freshman fall, before the team shut down over COVID. Bouncing back from COVID, Aaron rowed in the 1V8+, winning Connecticut states in 2022 and 2023, and getting 9th overall at NEIRA 2022.

Aaron thoroughly enjoyed his high school rowing career and decided to join the UNH team when he arrived as a freshman. Aaron rowed in the Head of the Charles with the UNH MV4+, and stroked the winning 2v4+ boat at NERC, but spent most of his freshman year in the MN8+.
